Why Creativity Is A Muscle

Creativity is often thought of as a talent that people are born with. You either have it or you don’t. But that’s not really true. Creativity is a muscle. And like all muscles, it needs to be worked out to stay strong.

The good news is that there are lots of ways to exercise your creativity muscle. Here are just a few:

1. Keep a journal.

Writing regularly is a great way to flex your creative muscles. It doesn’t matter what you write about – just get into the habit of putting your thoughts down on paper (or in a digital document).

2. Take on a new challenge.

Trying something new is a great way to get your creative juices flowing. It could be something as simple as taking a different route to work, or signing up for a painting class.

3. Brainstorm with friends.

Collaborating with others is a great way to come up with new ideas. Next time you’re stuck, try bouncing some ideas off of a friend or colleague.

4. Take some time for yourself.

It’s hard to be creative when you’re constantly on the go. Make sure to schedule some “me time” into your day, so you can relax and let your mind wander.

5. Get enough sleep.

It’s hard to be creative when you’re tired. Make sure to get enough sleep each night, so you can wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle whatever comes your way.

By following these tips, you can keep your creativity muscle in good shape. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and start flexing!
