How to paint a rooster in watercolor

1. Begin by sketching your rooster onto watercolor paper. If you're not confident in your sketching skills, you can use a reference photo to help you out.

2. Once you have your sketch, it's time to start painting! Begin by adding in the base colors of your rooster. For a traditional rooster, this would be a light yellow or gold for the body, and red or orange for the comb and wattles.

3. Once the base colors are down, start adding in some shadows. Use a darker version of your base colors, or mix in a bit of black or brown to create a more realistic effect.

4. Finally, add in some highlights. Use a lighter version of your base colors, or mix in a bit of white to create a more striking effect.

5. Allow your painting to dry completely, then sign your name and date it. Congratulations, you've now completed your very own watercolor painting of a rooster!
